"The patient is indeed critical but stable. We are declaring her stable because her health condition has not changed as when she was admitted at the hospital on Saturday evening. But there is no improvement in the health condition. The next 72 hours are extremely critical," Dr Parida said.

The student's father said that she has been badly burned on 95 per cent of her body and he could not even identify his daughter. He also called upon the people of Odisha to pray for the recovery of his daughter.

I couldn't identify my daughter after viewing her at AIIMS. I couldn't remain with her even for a minute. Her whole body is wrapped in bandages. Doctors informed me that dialysis had been performed last night. The doctors are giving their best. Up to 95 per cent of her body is charred," reporters reported him saying.
