As tensions rise between India and Pakistan, the Government of Jharkhand today revoked all leave approvals for government doctors across the State. In a social media post, Health Minister Dr. Ansari said that Jharkhand’s health department is on high alert and fully prepared to handle any emergency situation.
The state health department is expected to release a detailed advisory soon concerning "Operation Sindoor." All civil surgeons and medical personnel have been instructed to remain on high alert, and hospitals in every district have received strict orders to be ready for any eventuality.
Dr. Ansari highlighted that special arrangements have been made in areas near army camps, with additional funding allocated to hospitals in those zones to ensure smooth emergency operations.
“As part of this critical decision, all government doctors’ leaves have been suspended immediately. They must remain present at their assigned posts,” he emphasised.
He also affirmed that, if the situation demands, doctors from Jharkhand are prepared to serve on the front lines near the border. “I will personally lead a team of doctors to the affected areas if needed. We will not retreat under any circumstances,” Dr. Ansari said.
