Under the ongoing anti-drug campaign led by Superintendent of Police Astha Modi, the CIA police team successfully apprehended an individual engaged in illegal opium cultivation in Bhadolawali village, Fatehabad.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the location and discovered a total of 182 opium plants at the site.
The arrested individual has been identified as Krishna Kumar, son of Khayali Ram Punian, a resident of Bhadolawali. According to Sadar Police Station in-charge Kuldeep Singh, a police team led by SI Sanjay Kumar was patrolling the area with the objective of cracking down on criminal activities when they received intelligence about the opium cultivation.
The information suggested that Krishna Kumar had planted opium plants on a plot of land in front of his residence.

Upon reaching the village, the police did not initially find Krishna Kumar at home. However, after a short wait, he arrived at the location, following which the police questioned him and proceeded to search the plot.
Upon inspection, they found the illicit opium plants growing in the identified area. The police seized a total of 182 plants, collectively weighing 4 kg 860 grams.
The authorities confiscated the plants and arrested Krishna Kumar, who was taken to Sadar Fatehabad Police Station. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act, and further investigations are underway.
