Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia asserted that the mood in Ludhiana West assembly constituency reflects a strong public desire for development and growing support for his party.

On the final day of campaigning for the Ludhiana West assembly bypoll, the senior AAP leader underscored Ludhiana's economic and industrial importance, as per a party statement.

Describing Ludhiana as the economic capital of Punjab—often dubbed the "Manchester of Punjab"—the former Delhi deputy chief minister said the city’s industries have been instrumental in driving the state’s development.

He added that the AAP government is promoting an industry-friendly atmosphere through progressive industrial policies, upgraded infrastructure, and streamlined administrative processes to encourage businesses and industries.

The government's initiatives include enhancing connectivity, improving access between cities and creating an attractive environment for investment. The AAP government aims to develop not just Ludhiana but the entire Punjab as a hub of industry, education and employment, he added.

He added that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP workers are working tirelessly to build a progressive Punjab, with a focus on industry, education, and employment.

Sisodia praised AAP cadres for campaigning in extreme heat and for spreading awareness about the party’s achievements. He said the Mann-led government is focused on improving the quality of life in Punjab and elevating the state’s development trajectory.

The Ludhiana West seat fell vacant after the death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi in January. The AAP has fielded Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, who will face BJP’s Jiwan Gupta, Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu, and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Parupkar Singh Ghuman. Polling will take place on June 19, and votes will be counted on June 23.
