Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, unveiled the newly constructed 'Panchjanya' memorial in Haryana’s Kurukshetra on Tuesday. The memorial is dedicated to the sacred conch of Lord Krishna. Besides this, the PM, along with the state Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, attended a special programme commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the revered ninth Sikh Guru, on November 25.

Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Saini also toured the Mahabharata ‘Anubhav Kendra’, an immersive experiential centre featuring installations that depict significant episodes from the Mahabharata and highlight its lasting cultural and spiritual importance.

While addressing a special programme to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, the prime minister reaffirmed that his government will continue to serve 'guru parampara' the same way. He also released a special coin and a commemorative stamp marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

PM then recalled the time when the Ram temple Ayodhya verdict was to come and how he had gone to Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab for the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor. He said, "I was praying that the path for the construction of the Ram temple should be paved and the aspirations of all Ram devotees should be fulfilled. And our prayers were answered on that day as the verdict came in favour of the Ram temple in Ayodhya."

Guru Guru Tegh Bahadur considered the protection of truth, justice and faith his dharma and laid down his life for it, the prime minister added.

Immersive experiential centre uses VR and AR to provide visitors with an interactive and sensory-rich experience. This ‘Anubhav Kendra’ has been developed under the Central Government’s 'Swadesh Darshan' scheme, which is run by the Ministry of Tourism.

The centre offers a unique experience based on the theme of the Mahabharata. Constructed for approximately Rs 200 crore, this complex brings to life the story, philosophy, history, and various other aspects of the Mahabharata through modern technologies, as cited in the official statement.

Inside the complex, a memorial has been constructed to honour the sacred conch shell of Lord Krishna, which represents the triumph of right over wrong. This large conch weighs approximately five to five and a half tonnes and is between four and five metres tall.
