In a shocking incident at a government school in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, a principal and a librarian were involved in a heated argument that spiraled into a violent physical altercation. The altercation, which included slapping, hair-pulling, smashed phones, and punches, was captured on camera and quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention.
The confrontation occurred between Principal Praveen Dahiya and librarian Madhu Rani, who were engaged in a dispute over the division of work. What began as a verbal argument quickly escalated when Dahiya slapped Rani, grabbed her phone, and smashed it on the ground.
A viral video of the incident shows Rani angrily shouting at Dahiya, "Madam, how dare you? Aapne mujhe thappad kaise maara? (How did you slap me?) Aap ki himmat kaise hui? (How dare you?)." In retaliation, the librarian slapped the principal back as Dahiya began recording the incident on her phone.
What followed was a full-blown physical fight, with the two women pulling each other’s hair, exchanging slaps, and throwing punches. Throughout the altercation, Rani repeatedly yelled, "How dare you touch me?" while Dahiya defended her actions, claiming she acted in "self-defense." Several people who witnessed the incident and were recording the video are heard asking the women to stop fighting and urging others to intervene, but no one took action to separate them.
After the altercation, both the principal and the librarian went to the local police station at different times to file complaints against each other. They were then sent to the district hospital for a medical check-up to assess any injuries sustained during the fight.
The incident caught the attention of the Tribal Development Department, with Assistant Commissioner Prashant Arya informing the district Collector about the situation. As a result, both Dahiya and Rani were suspended from their positions at the school. Arya also confirmed that a proposal for further disciplinary action had been sent to senior officials.
Collector Bhavya Mittal confirmed that the National Tribal Student Education Committee had issued orders to suspend the principal and librarian following an investigation into the incident. In the meantime, a teacher named Pooja has been temporarily assigned the responsibility of the school principal. Mittal also announced that disciplinary action is being taken against the two individuals who had recorded and made the video viral.
