The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday attached 14.8 kanals of land, worth over ₹28 lakh, belonging to three terrorists operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), an official said.
Crackdown on terror ecosystem
The move is part of efforts to dismantle the terror network in the Union Territory, officials stated. The properties belonged to Najab Din and Mohd Latif from Kirni village and Mohd Bashir alias "Tikka Khan" from Qasba, who had fled to PoK and were actively involved in promoting terrorism, disturbing peace, and threatening social harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
Action taken under court order
The attachment was carried out in compliance with a court order related to a case registered at Poonch Police Station in 2022, the official said. Revenue officials assisted the police in executing the seizure.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shafket Hussain reaffirmed the police's commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
