Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi will launch the ‘Shiksha Nyay Samvad’ in Darbhanga, Bihar, on Thursday as part of his party’s campaign ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections later this year.
The Congress leader departed from his residence for Darbhanga earlier in the day, according to party sources.
The Bihar Congress took to social media to announce the launch, stating, “Education justice begins in Bihar from May 15! Rahul Gandhi is bringing 'Shiksha Nyay Samvad' ... a voice for the rights of the youth! Now students will get their degrees on time and secure jobs! Now no debt, you will get your rights based on your ability!”
Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, addressing a press conference on Wednesday, said the initiative will focus on education, employment, and social participation, aiming to address the concerns of various sections of society.
"The Nyay Samvad will focus on education. It will also focus on jobs, participation and different sections of the society. Congress leaders will speak with people from different sections of society and will understand their problems based on which, the party will make a 'Nyay patra' for the upcoming Bihar elections," Kumar said.

He further noted that Gandhi is expected to interact with students at colleges, universities, and hostels in Darbhanga as part of the outreach.
The event comes amid ongoing protests over discrepancies in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Exam 3.0, with candidates demanding clarity on vacant posts and results. On May 7, police resorted to lathi-charge against BPSC aspirants near the official residence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after they entered a restricted area during their protest.
Gandhi’s Darbhanga visit also follows his participation in the Congress student wing’s (NSUI) 'Palayan Roko Naukri Do' rally in Begusarai on April 7.
The Bihar Legislative Assembly election for all 243 constituencies is scheduled to be held in October or November this year. The previous elections were conducted in October-November 2020.
