This latest collection marks the largest recorded donations for the temple.

A gold biscuit weighing 1 kg, cash over Rs 23 crore, a silver pistol, and even silver handcuffs—these are just some of the donations received at the Sanwaliya Seth Temple in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

The popular temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, recently revealed an impressive collection of offerings during a treasury count. The total includes Rs 23 crore in cash, with a 1 kg gold biscuit being one of the standout donations.

Devotees have also given smaller gold biscuits, silver items, and unique gifts such as a silver pistol, a pure silver lock and key, and flutes.

This marks the largest donation the temple has ever received. The temple treasury, which is checked every two months, is being counted in multiple phases due to the high volume of donations.

In the first phase, Rs 11.34 crore was counted. The second phase added Rs 3.60 crore, and the third phase brought in Rs 4.27 crore. Currently, the total cash count is Rs 19.22 crore, with more phases to be completed in the coming days.

The valuation of the donated gold and silver items, collected from donation boxes, online contributions, and gift rooms, is still in progress.

The counting process, which happens on the new moon (Amavasya) each month, is expected to take 6-7 phases this time.

Located on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur highway, about 40 km from Chittorgarh, the Sanwaliya Seth Temple is an important shrine for Vaishnav devotees.

The temple was founded in 1840 when a milkman named Bholaram Gurjar reportedly had a divine dream that showed him the location of three buried idols of Lord Krishna in a village.

After excavations, three idols were found and placed in Mandaphiya, Bhadsoda, and Chapar. The Mandaphiya Temple is now the central site of this group, which is called Shri Sanwaliya Dham.

Over the years, the temple has become one of the most respected pilgrimage destinations, second only to Nathdwara for Vaishnav followers. Local beliefs also say that the famous poet and mystic Meerabai prayed at this temple.
