Former Minister Ambati Rambabu has strongly criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for spreading falsehoods about the Tirupati laddu issue.
Rambabu accused Naidu of attempting to cover up his previous lies and politicising the matter. Naidu had alleged that animal fat was included in the ghee used to prepare the sacred laddu prasadam at the Tirumala temple.
Rambabu called these allegations baseless. He said the ghee used for the laddu is tested and accepted only after it passes strict quality control standards.
Rambabu emphasised that such practices are normal, with tankers being rejected on several occasions due to quality issues. In fact, under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, 18 tankers of ghee had been rejected for failing to meet the specifications. Rambabu also mentioned that during the period from 2014 to 2019, 15 tankers had been rejected when Naidu was in power.

Rambabu further claimed that the recent arrests made by the Central Bureau of Investigation-led SIT were merely a "face-saving" exercise by Naidu. He accused the Chief Minister of trying to divert attention from his previous statements and mislead the public. Rambabu pointed out that there was no contamination in the ghee used for the laddu.
The former minister also took aim at actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, who had publicly expressed concern over the laddu issue and even staged a temple cleanse. Rambabu dismissed Kalyan’s actions as a publicity stunt. He criticised Kalyan for trying to create a drama over what he called a "non-existent issue".
Additionally, Rambabu addressed remarks made by actor Chiranjeevi about Jana Sena being an offshoot of Praja Rajyam. Rambabu suggested that these comments indicated a possible merger between the two parties.
