Conservative candidate Amarjeet Gill won against sitting minister Kamal Khera from Brampton West.

However, in a major political development, New Democratic Party (NDP) president and two-time sitting MP Jagmeet Singh has lost the elections from Burnaby Central riding, finishing third. He secured less than 19% of the vote, trailing behind Liberal Wade Chang and Conservative James Yan
Following his defeat, he also resigned as president of the NDP. Another significant defeat was for sitting health minister and two-time MP Kamal Khera, who lost to Amarjeet Gill in Brampton West riding.
