During a workers’ meeting in Vikarabad district, Bharatiya Janata Party State President N Ramchander Rao promised to rename the district to "Anantagiri district" immediately after his party comes to power. Rao also pledged to develop the Anantagiri hills into a major tourist destination, which he referred to as a "Southern Ooty" to boost tourism in the region.
He urged them to work towards securing a victory for the party in the upcoming local body elections. He claimed that the people of Telangana now see the BJP as a viable alternative to both the BRS and Congress, which he said have failed to address the public’s problems and provide good governance.
Rao accused the ruling Congress party of lacking sincerity in its promise to provide 42 per cent reservations for BCs in local body elections. He questioned why the Congress wanted to allocate 10 per cent of this quota to Muslims when they already have reservations in education and jobs under the BC-E category. He warned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's government that the BJP would oppose any religion-based reservations for Muslims.
The state BJP president also criticised Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao, accusing him of spreading false information about the central government's supply of urea. He blamed the hardships faced by farmers on the state government's failures, citing the improper supply of urea through Markfed.

Rao also raised concerns about the "Indiramma Housing Scheme," stating that while the government had promised to build 14,000 houses in Vikarabad. Raising the issue of house construction under the “Indiramma Housing Scheme”, the BJP president said the government has promised to construct 14,000 houses in Vikarabad district. However, construction works were undertaken in only 73 houses, and these are not yet completed.
He warned the Congress government to allot houses only to genuine and eligible poor people, as there were reports that the Congress party is selecting party workers under the house scheme.
Rao questioned how the Congress party would address people’s concerns when it had failed to properly implement the Raythu Bharosa scheme and retired government employees were not receiving their pensions correctly. He claimed that people from all sectors of society, including the educated, farmers, students, unemployed, and women, have realised the "deception" of both the Congress and BRS.
Highlighting the Central government's initiatives, Rao mentioned schemes such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra loans, and Ayushman Bharat. He stated that the Narendra Modi government has already allocated ₹12 lakh crore for Telangana’s development. He emphasised the need for a "double engine government" in Telangana for the state's progress.
