The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made available self-service kiosks at laddu counters to facilitate the process of paying for laddus, said the temple sources. It is now possible for pilgrims to pay for extra laddus conveniently through UPI at these ATMs, which are placed at different laddu counters in Tirumala, said a release by TTD.
"The pilgrims get a receipt after successful payment which can be exchanged to obtain extra laddus from the counter without having to stand in long queues," said the release made on Monday evening.
TTD has been introducing various digital services to streamline crowd movement and provide effective, hassle-free service to pilgrims who arrive at the hill shrine in large numbers. The new kiosk facility is one of TTD's larger initiatives to embrace technology and raise devotee satisfaction at each touchpoint during their Tirumala visit, it added.

TTD officials added that more kiosks would be installed in a phased manner after ascertaining the response, and personnel have been deployed to help senior citizens and beginners. The temple body is also thinking about extending similar digital services to other counters such as accommodation and prasadam counters in the next few months, the release further stated.
