Two boys who went missing last month were reunited with their families in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Saturday, according to officials.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shobit Saxena said that the boys, 14-year-old Deen and 11-year-old Rehmat Ali, had gone missing on February 28 after leaving home to graze cattle near a goat farm in Bhamberwah.
Their families reported them missing, and the police immediately began searching for them.
After extensive efforts, the police successfully located the boys and brought them back to their families. An FIR was registered as soon as the missing report was filed on March 9, and lookout posters were circulated in multiple languages to aid the search.
The SSP stated that since the boys had been away from their families for two weeks, they were feeling a bit anxious. Authorities are carefully investigating the case and may provide counseling support to help the boys recover from the experience.
Saxena assured that there was no immediate cause for concern and expressed relief that both children were found in good health.
