Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday directed all District Magistrates to organise multipurpose camps across the state to mark the completion of three years of the state government.

These camps will be held at district headquarters from March 22 to 25 and at the block and assembly levels from March 24 to March 30.

The directive was issued during a meeting at the secretariat, where the Chief Minister emphasised the need for an efficient, transparent, and well-organised execution of the initiative.

Dhami instructed officials to ensure that all necessary services are readily available at these camps, enabling citizens to access government schemes and benefits without unnecessary delays. He stressed that no eligible person should be deprived of their entitlements due to administrative inefficiencies.

The Chief Minister highlighted that these camps are a step toward strengthening public welfare initiatives and ensuring that government programmes reach the people who need them the most.

Reflecting on the government's achievements over the past three years, Dhami stated that several historic decisions have been taken to promote development and enhance public welfare. He urged citizens to participate in large numbers and spread awareness about the camps so that maximum eligible individuals can benefit.

Earlier in the day, Dhami reiterated the government's commitment to empowering the youth and making them self-reliant. He pointed out that over the last three years, more than 50,000 young individuals have gained self-employment opportunities through the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme.

A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office underscored the government's ongoing efforts to create a conducive environment for youth-led entrepreneurship and financial independence.

Encouraging young people to take initiative, Dhami urged them not only to seek self-reliance but also to generate employment opportunities for others. He reaffirmed the government’s vision of fostering an ecosystem where youth engagement in self-employment contributes to broader economic growth and social development.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Uttarakhand’s economy while ensuring that welfare schemes effectively reach those in need.
