Uttarakhand CM Dhami attends Holi Milan, extends greetings

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami meets former chief minister and Congress leader Harish Rawat on the occasion of Holi.


Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took part in the Holi Milan Utsav celebrations held at his residence on Thursday, where he extended his greetings to the people and emphasised the importance of preserving cultural traditions for future generations. 


He expressed his commitment to carrying forward Uttarakhand’s rich heritage and ensuring it is passed down.


During the event, CM Dhami and his wife, Geeta Dhami, joined in the festivities by dancing with members of the Tharu tribe. The Chief Minister also played the dholak and manjeera, enthusiastically participating in the celebrations alongside the dancers.

 


In addition to the celebrations in Dehradun, Dhami attended the Holi Milan Samaroh in New Delhi, hosted by Minister of State and Almora-Pithoragarh MP Ajay Tamta. He took part in cultural programs, celebrating Holi with BJP leaders, including BJP National Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam.


Speaking to the media, Gautam highlighted the widespread enthusiasm for Holi across the country and remarked on the festive spirit in Delhi, attributing it to recent political successes.

 

Earlier, on Wednesday, CM Dhami also attended a Holi Milan program organized by the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun. As part of the event, he inaugurated the e-fund website designed to enhance transparency in the corporation’s financial operations.


Extending his Holi greetings to the people of Uttarakhand, Dhami spoke about the festival’s role in strengthening social harmony and cultural unity. 


He encouraged continuous efforts to preserve and pass on these traditions to future generations, emphasising the role of such celebrations in fostering a sense of togetherness in society.
