Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Holi Milan event organised by the Municipal Corporation Dehradun on Wednesday. During the event, he also launched an e-fund website designed to ensure transparency in financial operations.

Wishing the people of Uttarakhand a joyful and colorful Holi, CM Dhami said that the festival strengthens cultural unity and promotes harmony in society. He emphasised the importance of passing on these cultural traditions to future generations.

He highlighted the efforts of the "triple-engine government" in improving the standard of living in Dehradun. The Municipal Corporation is working to enhance public services and cleanliness in the city. A yoga park is being developed on 3.5 hectares of land in Kedarpuram at a cost of Rs 5 crore, and a new park in Yamuna Colony is being built for Rs 1.3 crore.

To improve waste management, mechanised transfer stations have been set up at two locations. Under the Swachhata Senani Samman Yojana, three sanitation workers excelling in their work will be honoured with Rs 10,000 per month.

The Municipal Corporation has also introduced an online building tax payment system. In Swachh Survekshan 2023, Dehradun ranked 68th in India and 1st among Uttarakhand’s municipal corporations. CM Dhami expressed confidence that this ranking will improve further.

He expressed hope that UCC would benefit other states as well. He also noted that investor interest in Uttarakhand is growing, with approvals being processed swiftly through a single-window system.

Reflecting on his tenure, CM Dhami said that after taking oath on July 4, 2021, he pledged to fill all vacant government posts. Over the past three and a half years, more than 20,000 youths have been provided jobs, making this period one of significant employment growth.
