Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri.
Taking to social media platform X, the chief minister wished for happiness, prosperity, and success in the lives of all devotees. He prayed to Maa Shailaputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, seeking her divine blessings for the well-being of the people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his heartfelt wishes on Navratri and Hindu Nav Varsha (Nav Samvatsar). In his message, he expressed hope that this sacred festival of Shakti Sadhana would bring courage, restraint, and strength to everyone’s lives.
Sharing his devotion, the Prime Minister posted a mesmerising hymn by the legendary classical singer Pandit Jasraj, dedicated to the worship of the Goddess.
He emphasised that Navratri marks the beginning of a new spiritual zeal among devotees. Additionally, he conveyed his best wishes for Nav Samvatsar, expressing hope that this occasion would infuse new enthusiasm and energy into the resolve of building a developed India.
Meanwhile, devotees from across the country have gathered in Haridwar to seek blessings at the sacred Maa Mansa Devi temple, which is located atop the Shivalik Mountain.
The temple, revered for fulfilling the true wishes of devotees, witnesses a surge in visitors during Navratri, as people come to offer prayers and tie sacred threads as a symbol of their desires.
