Uttarakhand has made an impressive mark in the 38th National Games, securing 6th place in the overall medal tally with an outstanding total of 62 medals. The state’s medal haul includes 14 gold, 22 silver, and 26 bronze medals, showcasing a remarkable improvement from its previous standing.
This year’s achievement is a major leap forward for Uttarakhand, which finished 25th in the 37th National Games. The state has risen steadily through the ranks, moving from 19th place in the early stages of the competition to breaking into the top six, a significant milestone for Uttarakhand's sports development.
This remarkable progress highlights the hard work, talent, and determination of Uttarakhand’s athletes, who have performed exceptionally well across a variety of sports.

Martial arts disciplines, particularly Wushu and Taekwondo, were key contributors to Uttarakhand's success. The state brought home 12 medals in each of these events, solidifying its growing dominance in martial arts. This achievement further illustrates Uttarakhand’s commitment to fostering excellence in sports, with a focus on developing and honing talent in these disciplines.
