Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Thursday led his cabinet ministers and MLAs in a holy ritual at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.
The delegation, comprising senior ministers and ruling party legislators, performed the ritual seeking divine blessings for global peace, harmony, and prosperity.
Sharing the experience on social media, Singh posted, “Joined by my Hon’ble cabinet colleagues and Hon’ble MLAs, we stand together in prayer, seeking divine blessings for our people and the nation. May this sacred gathering strengthen our collective spirit and guide us toward a brighter future.”
Among the senior cabinet members present were Th Biswajit, Minister for Forest and Environment, and Govindas Konthoujam, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports. BJP MLA Premchandra from Kumbi Assembly Constituency also participated in the ritual.

The Chief Minister expressed his desire for wider participation, urging others to join the prayers. "I urge everyone to join me in these prayers and seek the divine grace for a brighter, united future. Har Har Mahadev!" Singh added.
He further remarked, "It was a pleasure meeting Hon’ble MP and senior party leader Shri @rsprasad Ji at the Maha Kumbh 2025 before we take the holy dip at Triveni Sangam.”
Describing the significance of the gathering, he noted, "Blessed to be in Prayagraj for the auspicious Maha Kumbh Mela, a divine gathering that comes once in 144 years."
The Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, renowned for its spiritual importance, draws millions of devotees, ascetics, and leaders from across the nation seeking divine grace and blessings.
