Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed his government's commitment to provide employment to the youth of the state, claiming that there has been a "flood" of government jobs, and noting that over 60 lakh youngsters have secured employment through private investments. The CM was speaking after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of development projects worth Rs 2,251 crore in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) area, where the chief minister further highlighted recent large-scale recruitments and upcoming hiring drives.
"The Uttar Pradesh government has recently recruited over 60,000 police personnel. A significant number of youth from Gorakhpur have also been selected. Following that, the recruitment of 2,538 child development supervisors has been completed. Soon, we are going to start large-scale recruitment of staff nurses and teachers. Sub-inspector recruitment has already been announced, and fresh advertisements for new jobs will be released shortly," the chief minister said.
"A flood of jobs has come in the government sector... it is jobs everywhere, employment everywhere... because the government wants that no youth of Uttar Pradesh should have to stretch their hands elsewhere. Every youngster will get a job within the state itself. Today, the best investments from across the country and the world are coming to Uttar Pradesh. As a result, we have succeeded in connecting more than 60 lakh youth with employment in the private sector through fresh investments," the chief minister added.
He then linked UP's development with the overall development of India, and cited, "A developed India is possible only when UP develops. UP will develop only when every village becomes self-reliant. All programmes are being implemented to make every district, village and urban body developed and self-sufficient."
"Those who divided society on caste lines, who pushed Uttar Pradesh into riots, who created an identity crisis for the youth, who played with national security for their vote bank, and who did not care about the honour of women, can you expect development from them? They never worked for development and never will," he alleged.

Besides this, hearing the public’s issues at Janata Darshan on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to make sure that the benefits of the government’s welfare schemes reach every eligible person. The state is already making extensive efforts to assist people with medical treatment and housing; prompt and effective action must be taken if anyone is still left out, said the CM.
CM heard the problems of 250 people during the Janata Darshan, which was held at Gorakhnath Temple. Personally reaching out to people seated at the event organised in front of Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan, UP CM listened to each grievance patiently and assured that every issue would be resolved in a timely, transparent, and satisfactory manner.
On complaints of land grabbing, he stressed that firm legal action must be ensured. He instructed revenue and police officials to deal effectively with such cases, underlining that public welfare should remain their top priority and grievances must be resolved swiftly. Further responding to appeals for financial help in the treatment of serious illnesses, the chief minister said no patient should be deprived of treatment due to a lack of money.
He then asserted that in 2024, alone, the UP government has provided financial help of Rs 1,100 crore from the CM Relief Fund for critical medical treatments. He then directed officials to promptly finalise cost estimates for those struggling with treatment expenses and forward them to the government so that full financial assistance can be provided without delay.
