Delhi air quality turns ‘severe’ for first time in 2025

Delhi on Tuesday recorded its first “severe” air quality day of 2025, with the AQI climbing to 428 amid stagnant weather and rising local emissions. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ordered strict GRAP Stage III enforcement and emergency measures as hazardous pollution forced schools to shift to hybrid mode.
