Dhaka defends Durga temple removal, cites railway land violation

India has strongly criticised Bangladesh’s demolition of a Durga temple built on railway land in Dhaka. While Dhaka termed it a lawful eviction of an unauthorised structure, Delhi accused the interim government of failing to safeguard Hindu religious sites.
