As the criticism from pilots community has mounted , Aviation safety consultant and founder and CEO of Martin Consulting, Mark D Martin, on Sunday called for a fair and "unbiased" investigation into the recent Air India flight 171 crash, emphasising that the preliminary investigation report released by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) tried to "put the blame deliberately on the pilots and exonerate the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)."

Alleging bias towards pilot error in AAIB report, Pilots' body APAI has insisted on what it seeks a 'fair, fact-based inquiry into the AI plane crash. The report said that in the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he cut off the fuel, to which the other replied that he did not.

"But I expect there will be a fair investigation. Justice should be served. There are two versions of the event. Police should investigate both versions fairly and justice should be done," Kejriwal said.
