Rajya Sabha panel urges stronger action on stubble burning

The Subordinate Legislation Committee of Rajya Sabha, chaired by Milind Deora, reviewed the stubble-burning rules amid growing air quality concerns. Officials from various ministries were consulted to improve the effectiveness of these regulations, originally issued by the MoEFCC in April 2023.
