Sacred peepal tree relocated in Bilaspur for four-lane project

The peepal tree (Ficus religiosa) was standing in the path of the Shimla–Mataur four-lane project. Since uprooting it was not an option due to strong religious sentiments attached to the tree, it was decided to shift it to Jabbal near Markand in the same district.
