Putin proposes UN-led temporary governance in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a temporary UN-led administration in Ukraine to facilitate early elections, as Volodymyr Zelensky’s term ended in May 2024. He emphasised that external powers should oversee the process to establish a legitimate government capable of negotiating a stable peace deal with Moscow.
