World champion D Gukesh returned to winning ways by beating Thai Dai Van Nguyen, while Arjun Erigaisi slipped after a surprise loss to Vladimir Fedoseev in round five of the Tata Steel Masters at Wijk aan Zee, tightening the race at the top.
