Before taking oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time on Thursday, leader of the INDIA block in the state, Hemant Soren, wrote a long message to people on social media, saying that the struggle for social justice.
"Johar friends, today will be a historic day—a day that will further strengthen our collective struggle, the spirit of love and brotherhood, and the commitment of us Jharkhandis towards justice,” he said.
He further stated, “The great land of Jharkhand has always given birth to protests and struggles, and JMM is moving ahead every day with the same legacy filled with the struggles of countless heroes, including Bhagwan Birsa, Bhagwan Sido-Kanhu, Amar Shaheed Telanga Khadia, Phoolo-Jhano, Poto Ho, and Sheikh Bhikhari."
"Today is not about political victory; today is the day to reiterate our struggle for social justice, the fight we fight every day to strengthen social unity. Today is also a day to tell that the great people of Jharkhand are standing together amidst the increasing pressure on democracy,” he said.
“Today, a voice is resonating in every village, every city—rights, equality, unity—means the voice of Jharkhandiyat. There should be no doubt about this—our unity is our biggest weapon. We can neither be divided nor silenced. Whenever they push us back, we move forward. Whenever they want to silence us, our voice of Hul, Ulgulan, and Kranti becomes more intense because we are Jharkhandis, and Jharkhandis do not bow down,” he further said.
“Today, when deep cracks are being created in the social structure, then we have to reiterate that unity of our ancestors and the resolve to take every Jharkhandi along. Congratulations to every Jharkhandi for our Abua government. Our fight is firm, continuous. Struggle It continues and will remain till the last breath,” he said.
Soren will be administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor Santosh Gangwar in a grand swearing-in ceremony being organised at the historic Morabadi Ground in Ranchi on Thursday.
Led by Hemant Soren, the INDIA block in Jharkhand won 56 seats out of 81 in the 81-member assembly of Jharkhand in the recently held Assembly elections. JMM won 34 seats, Congress 16, RJD four, and CPI ML two seats.
More than 1 lakh people are expected to attend the program, where veteran leaders of the alliance will participate. The guests’ list includes Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamta Banerjee, Bhagwant Mann, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Akhilesh Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, Mehbooba Mufti, Uday Stalin, Tejashwi Yadav, Mamta Banerjee, and many others.
