IMD predicts heavy rainfall, flashflood across Northeast states

Northeast India is experiencing intense weather conditions as the southwest monsoon advances, bringing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alerts for several districts in Assam, Mizoram, and Tripura, warning of extremely heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.
