Assam to introduce ten new co-districts on Independence Day

Assam will operationalise 10 new co-districts from 15 August, taking the total to 49, as part of ongoing administrative reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency and public service delivery. The move is intended to streamline governance and improve outreach across the state’s diverse regions.
