For over ten years the Congress’ only “agenda” has been to be against whatever Modi and the BJP stand for. Keeping with this mission and motto the Congress appears to be siding itself with the DMK on various issues, which are blatantly parochial and chauvinist. Just because DMK is positioning itself against BJP, should not be reason enough for the Congress to buy its agenda, which is completely parochial, chauvinist and sectarian and goes contrary to the core ideology of the Congress. If Congress claims to be fighting against the BJP’s core ideology, it cannot afford to be seen on the side of the DMK. It cannot accuse the BJP of pursuing a communal agenda, while supporting the parochial, chauvinist and sectarian agenda of the DMK.
