Himanta performs bhumi pujan for 12.2-km Brahmaputra bridge

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma performed the 'bhumi pujan' for a 12.2-km bridge over the Brahmaputra, linking Sualkuchi and Palasbari. Touted as transformative, the Rs 3,197.20 crore project is expected to boost regional connectivity and development, targeting completion by June 2028.
